Where you\’ll work
Our Birmingham construction lawyers provide top-quality advice to clients including developers, contractors, Registered Providers, and public sector bodies. We work closely with other UK offices to meet client needs and advise on major projects nationwide, maintaining a strong regional focus on the Midlands and nationally. We seek high-quality construction lawyers passionate about their regions, sharing our ambition for continued success.
You will be involved in non-contentious construction work, including risk management on contracts and procurement collaboration. Recent projects include:
- Procurement and development for national PLC housebuilders
- Addressing faΓ§ade fire safety issues in high-rise buildings
- Supporting local developers and contractors driving regional change
- Advising public sector clients on decarbonisation projects with our Energy team
What you\’ll be doing
- Advising clients including contractors, developers, government departments, and registered providers
- Providing procurement advice to public sector clients
- Advising on development, design, and construction
- Supporting asset and maintenance management contracts
- Advising on decarbonisation schemes like SHDF and HUG
- Supporting infrastructure projects
- Advising housing organisations on development and asset management
- Providing due diligence support in acquisitions and disposals
- Building client relationships and participating in marketing
What you\’ll need
We require:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years\’ experience in construction
- Strong technical skills and client focus
- Drive, enthusiasm, and commercial awareness
- Credibility, organization, and communication skills
- A team player with an excellent academic record
