Our Tier 1 Procurement team leads the market in providing innovative and complex advice to clients. This new hire will specialise in Public Procurement advice for a diverse range of clients, including public, private and third sector companies and organisations.
What you will be doing:
- Providing practical and risk-based advice on complex procurement issues and on tendering procedures, procurement structures and evaluation/qualification criteria and processes.
- Drafting and advising on all types of procurement documents, including Tender Notices, Procurement Specific Questionnaires, Invitation Documents, assessment summaries, Transparency Notices and associated procedures.
- Advising numerous commercial clients, charities and public sector clients including local authorities, central government departments, NHS trusts and registered providers of affordable housing.
- Pro-active participation in marketing initiatives, including writing articles, presenting at conferences, seminars, client events, and attending networking events.
- Participating in firm-wide and departmental training sessions and attending a monthly procurement working group.
- Training and development of junior legal staff and secretary (where appropriate).
What you will need:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 3-5 years' experience in procurement law.
- A demonstrable interest in public procurement, state aid and relevant sectors (housing, local government, energy, health, care and construction/development).
- Excellent technical skills.
