Are you ready to embark on an exciting career in legal compliance? Our General Counsel and Risk team are seeking an AML & Conflicts Assistant to join their dynamic team in either our Manchester or Birmingham office.

The Role

As an AML & Conflicts Assistant, you\’ll play a crucial role in the firm\’s compliance processes.

  • Assist in checking documentation and AML information for new client and matter openings.
  • Conduct research on clients and matters using screening software and databases.
  • Verify information provided by fee earners and support staff, offering guidance as needed.
  • Handle enquiries from fee earners and support staff, building strong working relationships.
  • Conduct and analyse potential conflicts of interest using Intapp Open.
  • Collaborate with the Risk and Compliance Team for training on complex analyses.
  • Provide administrative support within the team.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the AML & Conflicts Assistant role will possess the following qualities:

  • A positive and enthusiastic graduate, or non-graduate with compliance experience.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent prioritisation skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and proficiency in IT, particularly MS Office.
  • Willingness to undertake necessary training and adapt to new systems.
