Are you ready to support the Companion Animal team by managing local quality management systems to meet all internal and external quality and feed/food safety requirements? You will oversee the governance of quality in the companion animal production plant, ensuring compliance with industry, Nutrace, and customer standards, including training on procedures, internal auditing, and monitoring KPIs.
Job Description:
Key Accountabilities
- Implement quality strategy focusing on the operational landscape.
- Develop and execute quality plans aligned with business priorities.
- Serve as the contact for factory performance related to Companion Animal Quality.
- Develop, improve, and implement policies, standards, and processes to ensure compliance with internal, regulatory, industry, and customer requirements for safety, quality, and integrity of products.
- Develop and implement customer and product-specific requirements, including business qualification.
- Create training materials and conduct training on quality management.
- Enhance communication and awareness about quality management internally and externally, promoting \”quality feeds value\”.
- Provide expertise and support on feed-to-food safety and quality (FSQ).
To succeed, you should be an expert in Quality Management and Food to Feed Safety, with strong communication and training skills to foster a quality culture. You will be the primary operational contact for quality, working closely with the Quality Manager, Customer Companion Animal, Regional Quality Manager, Operations, Technical, and Commercial teams. You will lead a team of two Quality Officers and contribute to global quality networks.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science/technology, biology, chemistry, or related field, with a food hygiene qualification.
- Experience as a Quality Manager in the Pet/Companion Animal feed industry, preferably with team management experience.
- Experience in internal, external, and customer audits.
- Knowledge of food and feed safety regulations for the pet food industry.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and certification schemes.
- Project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in multifunctional teams.
- Attention to detail and data analysis skills.
