Join us. We're still building. We make bags and accessories for the people building the future. Engineers, founders, designers, makers. People in the arena, doing the work, often without proof. We're building the future too, in our own way. Fifteen years in. Fourteen times bigger in the last five. B Corp certified. First fully circular bag collection in our category. Wirecutter's pick for best laptop backpack. The work we do has substance.
We're looking for a social media manager to own our organic channels end‑to‑end. Someone who can hold our brand voice across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and whatever comes next. Someone who treats social as a brand‑building channel, not a performance treadmill. Someone who can run a creator network with taste and a budget. Someone who tries new things, listens hard to what's resonating, and tells the rest of us what we should be paying attention to. You have a feel for what good looks like and the conviction to defend it. You can plan a quarter and post in the morning. You know which creators move the needle and which ones just look the part. You hold the voice across thirty pieces of content a month without thinning it out. You have the courage to try things that have not been done yet, and the ear to tell us what's actually working. This is the role that puts Troubadour in front of the people who haven't found us yet, and deepens the relationship with the ones who have. With the support of your Creative team, you'll shape how the world sees us day to day, across content, creators, and community. And when the moment is right, you'll bring it off the screen and into the real world. Pop‑ups, store events, activations in the places where our people already are. Social that doesn't just live online.
What You'll Do
- Organic Social Strategy & Ownership: Own Troubadour's organic social channels end‑to‑end, primarily Instagram, with expansion to other platforms. Define and evolve channel strategy, tone, and creative direction. Lead content planning and posting cadence. Hold a consistent, elevated, distinctive brand presence across all content.
- Content: Work closely with the Creative team to bring ideas to life across formats: Reels, stills, carousels, short‑form video, and whatever the platform is asking for next. Translate the creative brief into content that actually works on social. Partner with our Copywriter on captions, hooks, and campaign copy to help make the words land. Push for content that earns attention rather than buys it. Be the person in the room who knows what’s going to resonate before it goes live and knows why when it does.
- Influencer & Creator Management: Own influencer strategy, from identification to outreach, briefing, and execution. Build and manage a network of creators aligned with the Troubadour brand. Oversee content output, quality and consistency. Manage budgets and cadence across multiple creators and quarterly cycles.
- Brand, Community & Partnerships: Engage with the community, reply, respond, show up, and make people feel like there’s a human on the other side. Spot and nurture the people who love what we do, turning followers into advocates. Capture and elevate user‑generated content where it earns its place. Identify, source, and pitch brand collaboration and partnership opportunities that feel right for Troubadour. Drive PR opportunities in partnership with our agency, from identifying the right moments to coordinating activations and amplifying across social. Partner with the Head of Retail to bring the community off‑screen and into the real world through the Soho store, pop‑ups, and activations in the places where our people already are. Coordinate and amplify events across social, before, during, and after. Support shoot production with the creative team as needed. Build the connection between our online community and the physical brand; they should feel like the same thing.
- Insight & Collaboration: Use organic as a testing ground for creative ideas, formats, and narratives. Try things that haven't been tried. Listen to what resonates, read the signals beneath the metrics. Close the loop by bringing audience insight back to the team so the rest of the company understands what our customers are actually responding to. Partner with marketing on performance insights and paid learnings. Balance brand‑first storytelling with an understanding of what drives traction. Work cross‑functionally with creative, marketing, product, and retail teams. Manage content calendars, timelines, and posting schedules. Bring structure and clarity to workflows while maintaining creative flexibility. Stay ahead of platform trends, formats, and cultural moments.
Who You Are
- You have 3 to 5 years managing social for a brand, ideally premium, fashion, or lifestyle.

- You have an ear for what is resonating, read the signals beneath the metrics, and bring the insight back to the team.
- You have a strong understanding of social platforms, formats, and trends.

- You're collaborative, proactive, and thrive when the pace picks up.
Tools You'll Use:
- Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other emerging platforms
