12-Month Maternity Cover, 3 or 4 days per week (negotiable), North Acton offices, hybrid working.
We are looking for a creative and commercially minded Buyer to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This varied role combines:
- Curating and selecting premium branded toys, books and gifting ranges
- Developing and buying a small own-brand newborn clothing collection
- Managing personalised product offerings alongside our in-house embroidery team
You will take ownership of key categories, driving product selection, supplier management, range building and trading performance while ensuring all collections reflect our customer, brand positioning and commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Curate seasonal branded and own-brand ranges
- Source new suppliers, brands and products
- Lead own-brand product development from concept to launch
- Manage pricing, margins and supplier negotiations
- Analyse sales and trading performance
- Work closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Web and Retail teams
- Coordinate personalised product offerings and workflow with our in-house embroidery team
- Attend trade fairs, supplier meetings and carry out competitor research
About You
- At least 3 years experience as a Buyer or Category Manager
- Strong product developer, ideally with experience working in childrenswear.
- Strong commercial awareness and eye for premium product
- Organised, analytical and detail-focused
- Passion for gifting and children’s products
- Strong communication and supplier management skills
