Purpose
The Growth Marketing Manager is responsible for driving customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth across Trotters' digital and offline marketing channels.
Leading our in-house performance marketing and CRM activity, you'll develop and optimise campaigns across Google and Meta while overseeing our email and SMS marketing programme.
Working closely with the Head of Customer, you'll ensure our acquisition and retention strategies work together to deliver commercial growth and an exceptional customer experience.
You'll lead a Performance Marketing Assistant and Digital Marketing Executive, helping to develop their skills while fostering a collaborative, test-and-learn culture.
- Performance Marketing
- Own the strategy and day-to-day optimisation of paid media across Google Ads, including Search, Shopping and Performance Max.
- Lead paid social activity across Meta, identifying opportunities to grow new customer acquisition and improve return on ad spend.
- Manage performance marketing budgets, forecasting and reporting to maximise commercial performance.
- Continuously test audiences, creative, landing pages and campaign structure to improve efficiency and scale.
- CRM & Customer Growth
- Oversee the planning and execution of email and SMS campaigns, ensuring activity supports customer acquisition, retention and lifetime value.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys, segmentation, automation and personalisation.
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive to deliver best-in-class CRM campaigns and customer experiences.
- Lead, coach and develop the Performance Marketing Assistant and Digital Marketing Executive.
- Partner closely with Brand, Creative, Ecommerce and Customer Services to ensure campaigns are aligned across all customer touchpoints.
- Use analytics and customer insights to make informed commercial recommendations and identify opportunities for growth.
- Stay up to date with platform developments and industry trends, bringing new ideas and best practice into the business.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing Google Ads, particularly Search, Shopping and Performance Max.
- Experience running and optimising Meta advertising campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using GA4 and advertising platforms to measure and improve performance.
- Commercially minded with a passion for testing, optimisation and continuous improvement.
- An understanding of CRM, email marketing or customer lifecycle marketing. Experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members is desirable.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in building great customer experiences.
