Renowned for its market-leading expertise, the firm has built a substantial European practice with a strong focus on international arbitration and litigation, cross-border acquisitions, capital markets transactions, private equity, financing and restructuring matters.
The office is home to a large team of highly regarded legal professionals, including partners, senior counsel and lawyers qualified across multiple jurisdictions.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's international network, the team advises on complex, cross-border matters for an impressive global client base.
The department
The firm's Finance team is recognised for its extensive experience advising leading private equity sponsors across Europe.
The team acts on a broad range of sophisticated financing matters, including leveraged acquisitions, portfolio company financings and fund-level finance transactions.
Their expertise spans the full spectrum of leveraged debt structures, including Term Loan B facilities, second lien financings, Hold Co PIK debt and bond issuances.
The team also advises debt funds on their own financing arrangements, alongside fund sponsors on subscription line facilities, NAV facilities and management financing transactions.

The successful candidate will have experience managing matters with an increasing level of autonomy and will enjoy working closely with private equity sponsors, corporates and financial institutions on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions.

Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a broad range of finance matters, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing transaction processes and coordinating with all parties throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Supervising and mentoring trainee solicitors as part of transaction teams.
- Advising regulated clients on a range of compliance and regulatory matters.
- Supporting private equity funds on portfolio investment-related matters, including special purpose vehicles, joint venture arrangements and general partner/manager compensation issues.
- Advising on and negotiating fund direct and secondary transactions.
- Contributing to business development and knowledge management initiatives through client publications, presentations and thought leadership.
Skills, experience & qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with 2–4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Demonstrable international or cross-border transactional experience.
- Strong technical ability with experience working on complex finance transactions.
- Commercially minded with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to build lasting client relationships.
