The Role
The Repairs Supervisor will support the RMA and Warranty process by identifying faults, taking ownership of the full repair and replacement process working with a variety of hardware, screens and electronic components. Managing two direct reports (Repairs Technicians), this role also involves writing operating procedures, ensuring departmental processes and procedures are followed, analysis of data, identifying common faults and suggesting future design improvements. Key responsibilities-
Electronic and Electrical Fault Repair-
- Diagnose and repair electronic and electrical faults within returned products, including LCD screens and interior components
- Conduct initial testing and fault finding of returned assemblies and/or products
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment
- Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
RMA and Warranty Process-
- Take ownership of the entire repair and replacement process for returned products
- Identify faults in returned products and determine appropriate repair or replacement actions
- Ensure all returned parts are located and recorded as per company processes
Operating Procedures-
- Write and update operating procedures including work instructions, repair manuals, and troubleshooting guides
Team Collaboration-
- Work with other team members to ensure timely repair and/or replacement of parts to maintain suitable stock levels
- Train and support other technicians, ensuring high standards of work
Process Implementation-
- Implement and maintain departmental processes and procedures
- Manage test equipment and ensure it is up-to-date and functioning properly
What they\’re looking for
The successful candidate will have at least 3+ years career experience in electronic repairs which includes a track record of diagnosing and resolving electronic / electrical faults, delivered within a manufacturing operation would be beneficial but isn\’t must have. The hiring business is open to a time served professional who\’s career experience includes people management / department leadership that is now seeking a new career challenge or equally a developing electrical or manufacturing professional (e.g. Technician / Operator level) who wants professional development into people & department management.
