You will support the Group Financial Compliance team with preparing Group and individual Company Financial Statements, assist with managing the Annual Audit, Internal Audit and Corporate Governance processes, Tax Compliance, Balance Sheet reconciliations and to assist the Finance team generally.
Key Responsibilities- Support the preparation of Annual Company and Group Consolidated Accounts, including disclosure packs compliant with FRS102 for external audit.
- Assist in producing Statutory Financial Statements from disclosure packs for auditor review.
- Review corporation tax computations, process tax adjustments, and support current-year tax payment planning.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, responding to queries and coordinating timely information flow.
- Support monthly close activities, including journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytical review of ledger accounts.
- Assist with ongoing tax compliance, including VAT, PSA returns, and Corporation Tax obligations.
- Contribute to the development of internal audit processes, corporate governance procedures, and statutory submissions (including ONS).
- Liaise cross-functionally to ensure accurate, timely financial data and apply technical problem-solving as required.
We’re looking for someone technically strong with previous experience in financial accounting, either from industry or practice. This would suit someone qualified ACCA or ACA.
