We’re looking for a highly organised, creatively driven In-House Photographer & Studio Manager to join the Tropic Creative team – combining hands-on photography with the day-to-day management of our studio space and equipment.
You’ll be responsible for capturing high-quality photography across ecommerce, campaigns, portraits, product launches, social content and events, while overseeing the smooth running of the studio. You’ll work closely with the Creative Director, Producer and Design Team to help shape and evolve Tropic’s visual identity – from pack shots and still life setups to supporting larger campaign productions. The Creative Director will lead on larger shoots, with this role supporting across all aspects of production and dividing responsibilities to ensure shoots run smoothly and maintain a consistent creative vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead photography across ecommerce, social media, campaigns, portraits, product launches, events and wider brand storytelling.
- Shoot all pack shots, still life setups and day-to-day product photography.
- Support the Creative Director on larger-scale shoots, dividing responsibilities to execute efficiently.
- Retouch and edit imagery to a high standard for digital and print use.
- Deliver fast-turnaround content where needed for marketing and social channels.
- Maintain consistent lighting, composition and image quality across all outputs.
- Photograph company events and brand activations, including occasional travel.
Creative Development
- Work with the Creative Director and Design Team to develop a cohesive visual language across the brand.
- Contribute creative ideas, concepts and visual approaches for campaigns and content shoots.
- Help develop mood boards, shot lists and creative references.
- Keep up to date with photography, beauty, fashion and content trends.
Studio Management
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the studio – ensuring it is clean, organised and shoot-ready at all times.
- Maintain and manage all photography equipment, props and studio assets.
- Monitor equipment condition and arrange servicing, repairs or replacements as needed.
- Manage studio stock, storage and inventory systems.
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained within the studio.
Production & Scheduling
- Work with the Producer to coordinate and schedule shoots.
- Manage the studio calendar and booking process.
- Prepare studio setups ahead of shoots and ensure all required equipment is available.
- Liaise with internal teams, freelancers and external suppliers as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a commercial or in-house photographer.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product, portrait, beauty, lifestyle or campaign photography.
- Excellent understanding of studio lighting, composition and photography workflows.
- Highly organised with strong studio and equipment management skills.
- Proficient in Capture One and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop.
- A strong creative eye with a good understanding of visual storytelling and branding.
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who communicates well and takes creative direction confidently.
- Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused.
- Experience within beauty, skincare, fashion or ecommerce is highly desirable.

- Employment Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm.
- Location: Tropic HQ, or at an on-site location.
- Salary: Competitive depending on experience.
