About the Role
As HR Officer, you will play a pivotal role in providing day to day support to employees as well as stakeholders, driving business performance across Trooli. Reporting directly to the People & Culture Manager, you will act as a trusted adviser to operational leaders and senior stakeholders, ensuring recruitment and organisational compliance especially the accuracy of the HRIS is kept up to date.
Success as an HR Officer comes from combining strong people skills with solid business awareness and attention to detail. The role requires excellent communication and emotional intelligence to handle sensitive conversations, resolve conflicts, and build trust across the organisation, alongside a clear understanding of employment law to ensure compliance and reduce risk. Being highly organised and accurate is essential for managing records and processes, while good problem-solving skills help balance employee needs with business objectives. Ultimately, effective HR Officers support both employees and organisational goals, using sound judgement, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning to add real value.
Core Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Onboarding: HR officers oversee the hiring process, including posting job vacancies, reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and assisting in selecting suitable candidates. Also manage onboarding to help new employees integrate smoothly into the organization.
- HR Compliance and Policy Implementation: ensure the organization internal policies are in date, updating policies and procedures as guided.
- HR Administration: accurately completing HR administration. Prepare and maintain accurate records and files, including responsibility for maintaining personnel records.
- HRIS: ensuring data in HRIS is accurately updated and maintained. Gain deep understanding of the company HRIS.
- Employee Relations: Support the HR team in the management of employee relations. Such as, support the addressing workplace concerns, resolving disputes, and providing guidance on company policies, and support workplace investigations. HR officers ensure fair treatment and maintain a positive work environment.
- Absence and Performance Management: They support managers in handling employee absences, support the monitoring of performance, and advise on disciplinary actions or performance improvement plans when necessary.
