Room Attendant - Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian Hotel Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian is an elegant Victorian hotel in the city centre, overlooking Union Terrace Gardens.

Job Description We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team.

As a Room Attendant, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities Clean and service guest bedrooms and bathrooms to the hotel's standards.

Change bed linen and towels, replenish guest amenities, and restock supplies.

Vacuum, dust, polish, and sanitise guest rooms and public areas as required.

Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and lost property promptly.

Ensure all housekeeping trolleys and storage areas are clean, organised, and fully stocked.

Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently.

Work closely with colleagues to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests within required timescales.

What We're Looking For Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

A strong eye for detail and commitment to high standards.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.

Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

This is a casual contract.
