Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team and support the delivery of exceptional culinary standards. As Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to assist in the daily operation of the kitchen, help lead the brigade, maintain food quality and presentation standards, and ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the day‑to‑day management of kitchen operations.
- Assist with food preparation and service across all hotel food outlets.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Supervise and motivate junior kitchen staff during service.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards in accordance with company policies and legislation.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food wastage.
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and portion control across all dishes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality food.
- Good leadership and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
- Relevant food hygiene qualifications (preferred).
