Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian is an elegant Victorian hotel in the city centre, overlooking Union Terrace Gardens.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. As a Room Attendant, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest bedrooms and bathrooms to the hotel's standards.
- Change bed linen and towels, replenish guest amenities, and restock supplies.
- Vacuum, dust, polish, and sanitise guest rooms and public areas as required.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and lost property promptly.
- Ensure all housekeeping trolleys and storage areas are clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests within required timescales.
What We're Looking For
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to high standards.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
This is a casual contract.
