Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian is an elegant Victorian hotel in the city centre, overlooking Union Terrace Gardens.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Food & Beverage Assistant to join our hotel team. If you enjoy delivering excellent service, working in a fast-paced environment, and creating memorable experiences for guests, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests in a warm and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve food and drinks to a high standard.
  • Set up and clear tables, ensuring all dining areas are clean and well-presented.
  • Prepare beverages, including tea, coffee, and bar drinks (where applicable).
  • Process payments and operate the till/POS system.
  • Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures.
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, conferences, banquets, and special events as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and wider hotel team to deliver exceptional guest service.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in hospitality or food and beverage is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a professional appearance.
