Position Overview

Oxide Machine Operator will include monitoring process controls and computer microprocessors, checking gauges of lead pot, feedlines and cooling. The Oxide Machine Operator will perform sampling and testing of all process material from reactors and downstream (Oxy master and Simpson mixers).

Areas of Focus

The Oxide Machine Operator will be committed to performing the role safely and can wear all required PPE. Additionally, the Oxide Machine Operator understands and practices the quality policy day to day.

Responsibilities

  • Load raw materials into machines
  • Distribute and load lead, move pallets and dross barrels to and from department using forklift
  • Ensure correct labeling, handling, transportation and tracking of waste
  • Collect and input data for SPC reports, attribute reports, charts, and graphs
  • Complete reports related to oxide production, downtime, all Critical to Quality (CTQ) measurements
  • Perform inventory on Oxide hogs and verify that each hog has the weight written on it
  • Perform reactor cleanup process (Confined Space)
  • Visually inspect equipment for problems, equipment malfunctions, quality and delays
  • Must know where and how to access work instructions and maintenance compliance
  • Follow and maintain Lead activities (5S, housekeeping, hygiene, etc.)
  • Familiar with Emergency Response Procedures
  • Familiar with ISO process
  • Must be clean shaven
  • All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site
  • Lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 6 months – 1 year of experience in production, construction, warehouse, or similar work environment
  • Comply with Blood Lead health and Hygiene Protocols
  • Understand/comply with correct lifting procedures which enable lifting to 50 lbs
  • Comply with Hazard communication procedures
  • Forklift certification
  • Understand Oxide Production
  • Basic knowledge of current data collection system and Microsoft programs
  • Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions
