A rare opportunity has arisen for an accomplished, commercially astute Deputy General Manager to help lead one of the capital's most prestigious contract catering operations. Set within a historic, externally recognised five-star environment, this multi-outlet site serves up to 6,000 guests daily across a diverse, premium food and beverage portfolio. Sitting within the corporate real estate function, this is a pivotal leadership role with genuine commercial influence and stakeholder reach.
Working alongside the Account Director, you'll drive financial growth, operational excellence and service innovation, deputising for the Account Director in their absence. With touchpoints across every floor of the building, you'll be a visible, credible presence managing everything from retail and fine dining through to VIP and hospitality experiences.
The Operation
A dynamic, multi-outlet site including high-end hospitality and events, gala dinners for up to 200, a ground-floor restaurant, barista and all-day coffee/bar concepts (one open to the public), a busy tours and retail offer welcoming 12,000 visitors annually, plus a satellite site in Kent catering for 200.
What You'll Do
- Support the Account Director in delivering strategic objectives and commercial targets
- Take joint responsibility for a £6m P&L, driving sustainable growth through revenue generation, cost control and margin protection
- Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring seamless, five-star service delivery
- Manage VIP and hospitality experiences to the highest standard, alongside retail and fine dining touchpoints throughout the building
- Build strong relationships with key client and corporate real estate stakeholders, acting as a confident ambassador for the business
- Lead a proactive health, safety and food safety culture, targeting upper-percentile audit performance and full compliance with Natasha's Law and allergen controls
- Inspire, develop and retain a large, diverse team, fostering a high-performance culture
About You
- Senior management experience within contract catering, ideally from a Business & Industry (B&I) background
- Proven track record managing multi-outlet, high-volume operations and delivering measurable financial improvement
- Experience within premium or five-star corporate environments
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent financial literacy, a commercial mindset and a passion for innovation
