We’re looking for an experienced and people‑focused Staffing Manager to join us on a 12‑month maternity cover, starting in May. Someone who can confidently lead our event crew function, nurture strong relationships, and ensure we always have the right talent in the right place at the right time. You’ll balance strategic oversight with hands‑on resource management, helping our teams deliver exceptional experiences across every project.

If you have a solid background in staffing, crew management, or resource planning—especially within an agency or fast‑paced environment—and you’re passionate about people and experiences, we’d love to hear from you. If you need any adjustments during the interview process, just let us know.

THE ROLE:

  • Manage the full end‑to‑end recruitment of TRO event crew, ensuring teams align with client and brand requirements.
  • Profile and skill‑match staff to the right campaigns and environments.
  • Creating staffing schedules for live activations to ensure adequate staffing levels are achieved and sourcing cover in the event of sickness / absence.
  • Proactively source and recruit new crew using creative and strategic approaches.
  • Developing and building strong relationships with both crew and internal teams.
  • Conduct field visits to live activations to support teams and ensure TRO standards are met.
  • Growing our event crew database, nurturing long‑term relationships with new and existing crew.
  • Overseeing and managing the administration of onboarding new crew including Right to Work checks.
  • Take ownership of any HR‑related staffing issues within the remit of the role.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in staffing, resource management, and event crew recruitment, with hands‑on experience sourcing a wide range of roles including (but not limited to) Event Managers, Brand Ambassadors, Costume Characters, Site Supervisors, Riggers, and Drivers – Experience within event or experiential environments is a strong bonus.
  • Strategic understanding of profiling the right person to the right brand.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with strong prioritisation skills.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering support to both external and internal teams.
  • Confident and clear communicator — comfortable booking and briefing staff over the phone.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • A natural relationship builder with a professional, positive, and fun attitude.
  • Genuine passion for people, experiences, and event crew staffing.
