We are recruiting for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join a specialist technology recruitment business focused exclusively on the Software Engineering market across the UK and Europe . The business was founded by a recruitment professional with 30 years of technology recruitment experience , having built a career within some of the UK's most established recruitment firms. The team currently has five people and is looking to double in size this year , with all new hires coming through entry-level recruitment talent. The role As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant , you will work on a 360 recruitment desk from day one . You will be responsible for: Identifying and approaching software engineering candidates Building relationships with candidates and clients Developing new business opportunities Managing recruitment processes from start to finish Working on permanent and contract opportunities across the UK and Europe Building your own network and specialist market The business has a significant amount of exclusive recruitment work , meaning you will have the opportunity to work on quality vacancies rather than simply competing for roles available across the market. You'll receive support and training from experienced recruiters, but you'll also be given responsibility early. The aim is to develop you into a successful Recruitment Consultant and, for the right person, into a future team leader. Progression and earning potential The business is specifically looking to develop its future leadership team from the people joining now. There is an opportunity to progress into a team leadership position after 12 months for high performers. Current members of the team are earning £80,000 and £100,000 , demonstrating the earning potential available within the business. This is not a business where you need to wait years for a promotion or for a management position to become available. The plan is to double the team, creating opportunities for people joining at entry level to grow with the business. The ideal candidate Previous recruitment experience is not required .
