We are partnering with a high-performing boutique executive search firm (12-person team) to appoint an Executive Search Consultant at Researcher / Associate level, supporting a globally active practice focused on Energy and Industrial markets. This is a rare opportunity to join a firm doing proper retained search, not quasi-search or contingent-style spray and pray. The work is structured, high-quality, consultative, and delivered at true board and functional leadership level.
You will work directly with senior Partners billing £1m+ annually, gaining exposure to world-class search execution and high-level client engagement from day one.
The Role
As an Executive Search Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering retained assignments across:
- C-suite and C-suite minus 1 Functional leadership roles (Operations, Finance, Strategy, Commercial, HR, Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.)
- Global markets across Europe, the Americas, Middle East, and Asia
You will be responsible for the core intelligence and delivery engine behind each search.
Key Responsibilities
- Market mapping: identifying and benchmarking target companies, sectors, and talent pools
- Marketing intelligence: producing research-driven insight on industries, competitors, and leadership trends
- Candidate identification and engagement: sourcing and approaching senior-level profiles globally
- Shortlist development: supporting Partners with structured longlists and shortlists
- Shortlist presentations: contributing to high-quality client-facing materials and candidate packs
- Pipeline management: ensuring assignment delivery is disciplined, organised, and deadline-driven
- Supporting Partners throughout the full retained search lifecycle, from briefing to placement
