US AI / ML Recruitment Consultant – High-Growth Retained Desk (360 or 270 model considered). We are partnering with a fast-scaling, boutique tech recruitment business that is rapidly building a high-performing US-focused AI / ML desk. The business has already established strong traction in one of the most resilient areas of tech recruitment, partnering with high-growth startups and VC-backed companies across the US. This is a genuinely rare opportunity to join a platform with immediate live work, strong retained revenue, and a proven ability to convert social-led and community-driven BD into long-term client relationships.

  • 1.5-year-old specialist tech recruitment company based in the City of London
  • Focused exclusively on the US AI / ML and deep-tech startup market
  • Strong resilience through recent tech hiring cycles
  • Community-led, social media-driven BD model
  • Proven success securing retained mandates directly from VCs and founders
  • 11 retained search mandates available from day one
  • Average fee: $75,000
  • Recently hired consultant achieved:
    • 2 placements in their first few weeks
    • Secured a retained client within 40 days
  • Work directly alongside a founder billing c. $1m annually
  • 4x US trips per year to build client relationships and develop market presence

Role Options

  • We are open to two operating models depending on experience and preference:
    • 360 model – full ownership of business development, client management, and delivery
    • 270 model – focused on account management and candidate delivery, with BD support provided

This flexibility allows us to tailor the role to both proven new business operators and strong delivery/account management specialists.
