TRL, a global leader in transport innovation, is looking for a commercially minded and results-driven Principal Consultant to lead strategic client engagements and drive the growth of our Asset Management business. The successful candidate will focus on delivering value, winning work, and deepening client relationships across the highways and infrastructure sectors. This is a high-impact, outward-facing role ideal for someone who is looking to combine deep subject matter expertise with a collaborative, client-focused approach. The successful candidate can be based UK wide with some travel expected. Flexible working options for full or part-time employment is available.
What you'll do:
- Lead strategic asset management projects that deliver measurable client value.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping solutions and building long-term relationships.
- Drive business development: spot opportunities, lead bids, shape proposals, and lead successful bid conversions.
- Support account management and pipeline development, working with business leaders to shape client strategies, solutions and growth plans.
- Represent TRL externally at industry forums, events, and working groups and lead workshops.
- Develop thought leadership (e.g. white papers).
