Join TRL, a leading social enterprise in transport innovation, as a HumanFactors Consultant. You’ll be part of our Safety team, using your expertise in human factors, ergonomics, and user-centred design to tackle real-world transport challenges across commercial and government projects.
The successful candidate can be based UK wide with some travel expected. Flexible working options for full or part-time employment is available.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and support applied research in human factors and ergonomics
- Conduct usability testing, task analysis, and safety assessments
- Deliver insights that improve systems, interfaces, and user experience
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff
- Present research findings and contribute to innovation initiatives
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or related field
- Proven experience in usability, user research, and human-machine interaction
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of safety or transport is a plus
