About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Collision Investigator to join our Forensic Investigations team at TRL, specialising in the investigation of road collisions and other incidents. The successful candidate can be based UK wide. Flexible working options for full or part-time employment available.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- A proven track record of conducting in-depth investigations of collisions.
- Deliver high-quality, balanced reports on time with effective communication.
- Present evidence in both Civil and Criminal Courts.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Coaching and mentoring.
- Attending and presenting at industry events.
- Technical reviewing of reports.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Qualifications or extensive relevant experience in collision investigation and vehicle examination.
- Knowledge of key principles of collision investigation and developments within the discipline.
- Qualified and experienced in the forensic analysis of video and able to demonstrate competence in using a range of analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on technical work.
- Experience of presenting evidence in Court.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- A degree in an engineering or automotive discipline, or a similar technical/scientific subject is preferred.
- Experience in vehicle examination, including obtaining and analysing electronic data from vehicles, such as Event Data Recorders and telematic devices.
- Training qualification or relevant experience in the delivery of training courses.
- Previous experience of coaching or mentoring.
- Experience/interest in injury causation specifically the usage of helmets and seatbelts.
- Experience of inspecting electric vehicles and knowledge of relevant health and safety protocols to conduct these in a safe manner.
- UK Driving Licence for other vehicle categories.
