Human Factors Consultant in Wokingham

Join TRL, a leading social enterprise in transport innovation, as a HumanFactors Consultant. Youll be part of our Safety team, using your expertise in human factors, ergonomics, and user-centred design to tackle real-world transport challenges across commercial and government projects.

The successful candidate can be based UK wide with some travel expected. Flexible working options for full or part-time employment is available.

What youll do:

• Lead and support applied research in human factors and ergonomics
• Conduct usability testing, task analysis, and safety assessments
• Deliver insights that improve systems, interfaces, and user experience
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff
• Present research findings and contribute to innovation initiatives

What were looking for:

• Degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or related field
• Proven experience in usability, user research, and human-machine interaction
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of safety or transport is a plus
