About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Forensic Collision Investigator to join our team at TRL. This role involves in-depth investigations into road collisions, including those resulting in fatalities and serious injuries. The nature of this work requires resilience, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of the UK legal system.
The successful candidate can be based UK wide with some travel expected. Flexible working options for full or part-time employment is available. Due to the long-term nature of Expert Witness responsibilities, applicants must have long-term residency in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate road collisions and vehicle-related incidents.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality forensic reports for public and private sector clients.
- Present evidence in Civil and Criminal Courts.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide expert advice.
EssentialSkills&Experience
- Extensiveexperienceinforensiccollisioninvestigationandinjurycausationanalysisincludingvideoanalysis.
- Strongknowledgeofvehicledynamics,biomechanics,andforensicvideoanalysis.
- Experienceinproducingandreviewingtechnicalreportswithexceptionalattention todetail.
- Strongcommunicationskills,withexperiencepresentingevidenceinCourt.
- FullUKdrivinglicence.
Desirable
- Relevantqualificationssuchasadegreeinphysics,engineeringorbiomechanics.
- Experienceretrievingandanalysingvehicleelectronicdata(EDRs,telematics).
- Knowledgeofinspectingelectricvehiclesandrelatedsafetyprotocols.
- Aninterestininjurycausation.
