About the Team

Open AI’s mission is to ensure the responsible and widespread adoption of artificial intelligence.

In support of that mission, the Ads Solutions team partners closely with advertisers to deeply understand their businesses and needs, helping inform the development of products and solutions that drive meaningful revenue growth and long-term success on the platform—while maintaining strong standards for user trust and platform integrity.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Ads Solutions Engineer to partner with advertisers and agencies throughout the pre‑sales and growth lifecycle, helping them successfully evaluate, launch, and scale on Open AI’s advertising platform.

You will serve as the technical expert in the sales process, translating advertiser objectives into scalable technical solutions across measurement, integrations, data activation, and campaign execution.

This role sits at the intersection of sales, product, and engineering.

You’ll work closely with Client Partners, Customer Success Managers, Product, Engineering, Policy, and Operations teams to remove technical blockers, accelerate revenue growth, and shape the future of Open AI’s ads platform.

This role is based in London, UK. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will

  • Partner with Client Partners during the sales cycle to provide technical expertise that unlocks new business and accelerates deal closure.
  • Lead technical discovery with advertisers and agencies to understand data flows, martech stack, measurement requirements, and activation goals.
  • Design and recommend implementation approaches for pixels, APIs, server-to-server integrations, identity solutions, offline conversions, and measurement frameworks.
  • Guide advertisers through onboarding and launch readiness, ensuring successful setup of tracking, attribution, audience signals, and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to implementation, signal quality, delivery, and measurement performance.
  • Build compelling demos, proofs of concept, and technical narratives that demonstrate the value of Open AI’s ads solutions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to elevate issues, advocate for customer needs, and influence roadmap priorities.
  • Create repeatable technical documentation, playbooks, and best practices that scale advertiser adoption globally.
  • Help train internal sales and success teams on technical capabilities, integrations, and evolving product features.

You’ll thrive in this role if you

  • Have 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical account management, adtech, martech, or a related client‑facing technical role.
  • Have hands‑on experience with digital advertising measurement, pixels, conversion APIs, mobile measurement, identity solutions, or CRM/data integrations.
  • Understand advertiser ecosystems including tag managers, CDPs, analytics tools, attribution platforms, and data warehouses.
  • Can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical practitioners and executive stakeholders.
  • Have experience writing SQL, using APIs, debugging implementation issues, or working with structured datasets.
  • Are comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments and helping build processes from scratch.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, bias for action, and customer empathy.
  • Care deeply about responsible platform growth, user trust, and long‑term partner success.
