Our partner is looking for a Sales Manager BESS - South-East Europe (d/f/m) based in United Kingdom.
As a Sales Manager for Battery Energy Storage Solutions, you’ll drive business development and market expansion across South-East Europe, with a primary focus on Bulgaria, Greece, and Ukraine.
You’ll own the complete sales cycle, from identifying opportunities and developing customer relationships through negotiation, contract signature, delivery coordination, and payment collection.
The role combines strategic market development with hands‑on commercial execution and significant ownership of regional sales performance.
You’ll build a strong network among customers, developers, EPCs, and other energy‑sector stakeholders while identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts.
You’ll also monitor regional energy policies, market dynamics, and subsidy schemes to translate developments into actionable sales strategies.
Working closely with technical, commercial, regional, and headquarters teams, you’ll help deliver integrated PV and BESS solutions to customers.

- Accountabilities
- Drive localized business development and market expansion for battery energy storage solutions across South-East Europe, particularly Bulgaria, Greece, and Ukraine.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new customers while managing existing customer relationships and assigned sales opportunities.
- Own the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and lead generation through commercial negotiation, contract signature, delivery coordination, and payment collection.
- Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with revenue targets, pipeline requirements, and broader business objectives.
- Build and maintain a high-quality sales pipeline, ensuring accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and risk monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through system expansions, energy management system upgrades, additional services, and other relevant solutions.
- Monitor customer portfolios and proactively manage commercial risks, sales opportunities, and account development plans.
- Research regional market developments, energy policies, regulations, and subsidy schemes relevant to utility‑scale energy storage.
- Translate market intelligence into structured recommendations and actionable strategies for regional sales planning.
- Develop long‑term relationships with customers, EPCs, developers, project stakeholders, and other relevant industry partners.

- Collaborate closely with PV sales teams to maintain customer relationships, expand sales channels, and identify cross‑selling opportunities for integrated PV and BESS solutions.
- Coordinate with headquarters and international teams on product positioning, technical requirements, commercial opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering and solution teams to understand customer requirements and coordinate appropriate technical solutions.
- Maintain strong reporting discipline and contribute to accurate revenue, pipeline, conversion, and sales forecasting.
- Monitor key performance indicators including revenue and margin achievement, pipeline quality and coverage, conversion rates, contract value, customer growth, and retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, International Business, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
- 3–7 years of relevant sales, business development, or project development experience within photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage systems (BESS), or a closely related renewable energy field.
- Strong understanding of BESS technologies and project structures, including battery storage, power conversion systems (PCS), and energy management systems (EMS).
- Experience working with EPCs, developers, project owners, or other stakeholders involved in commercial and industrial or utility‑scale energy projects is strongly preferred.
- Practical understanding of customer requirements, technical project structures, and the commercial dynamics of complex energy projects.
- Exposure to energy storage project structuring or integrated PV + BESS solutions is an advantage.
- Strong commercial mindset with proven negotiation, influencing, and deal‑closing capabilities.
- Customer‑focused and relationship‑oriented approach, particularly within complex, project‑based sales environments.
