Are you passionate about supporting people with complex needs to live safely and independently? Trivallis is recruiting a Magpie Caseworker to deliver specialist hoarding support across Rhondda Cynon Taf. This is a tenure-neutral service, supporting individuals regardless of who their landlord is — including social housing, private rented and owner-occupied homes.
The Role
You’ll deliver therapeutic-informed, person-centred casework, working directly in people’s homes to assess risk, support behaviour change and improve safety, wellbeing and housing stability. This role focuses on early intervention, empowerment and risk reduction — not property clearance.
About You
We’re looking for someone with experience of complex casework, strong safeguarding and engagement skills, and confidence working autonomously in challenging environments. Reporting in to the Magpie Coordinator, you will:
- Deliver specialist, therapeutic-informed 1:1 interventions to individuals experiencing hoarding behaviours, primarily within their own homes, supporting sustainable behaviour change and improved wellbeing outcomes.
- Assess, analyse and interpret complex needs, risk and safeguarding concerns, exercising professional judgement to develop proportionate, person-centred support and intervention plans.
- Support individuals to understand the impact of hoarding behaviours on their safety, wellbeing, tenancies and relationships, empowering informed choice and self-directed change.
Why Join Trivallis?
We are a community mutual housing association which is owned by our tenants, rooted in our local communities, and working through collaboration and partnership. Joining us means becoming part of a supportive, inclusive, and forward-thinking team. We value our people and are committed to helping you develop your skills and achieve your goals. You will benefit from:
- A generous 30-day annual leave entitlement
- Generous Local Government Pension scheme
- Flexible working arrangements
- Cash back plan for you and your family
- Active Wellbeing support groups across the business
- Learning and development programmes where we invest in your personal development
- Opportunity to be involved in facilitating the diversity and inclusivity across Trivallis
We support flexible working and job share arrangements and are happy to discuss how we can make this role work for you. The successful candidate will be subject to Enhanced DBS check. Driving licence and access to a vehicle essential.
