About you
The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a City & Guilds 2330 installation theory practice parts 1 & 2 or equivalent EAL Level 3, the City & Guilds 2382 B.S. 7671 IEE wiring regulations electrical installations (18th Edition) and the 2391-52 Inspection and testing qualification, and the AM2 Practical assessment.
  • Have a good understanding of the following systems Aico, Hotchiki, Advanced, Entrotec and KMS and be able to fault find and repair all Fire Emergency Lighting and Access Control systems.
  • Have experience working in a housing maintenance or construction environment.
  • Be trained to current health safety regulation standards.
  • Possess multi-trade skills.
  • Have experience of working in occupied properties.
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines, have a can-do attitude and attention to detail.
  • Take part in Trivallis Out of Hours call out Rota.
  • Have a Full UK Driving Licence.

What you’ll do
Contribute to the achievement of the goals and targets of your team by ensuring the provision of a high-quality cost effective, efficient, customer focussed maintenance service. Promote equality and the understanding of diversity across the Association. Ensure that all activities are designed to progress the Association, reflect best practice and strive for continuous improvement of the service and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with recognised building practice.

What you’ll be responsible for
To carry out all aspects of Domestic and Commercial Electrical Works including Fire Emergency Lighting and Access Control systems. Carry out work to a high standard and where possible right first time. Receive and submit work instructions using internal electronic system. Review systems and processes and implement changes on a regular basis to drive continuous improvements in line with best practice. To take responsibility for vehicle stock and materials levels required to undertake your duties. To ensure work tickets are completed accurately and returned with the required timescales. To attend training as directed. To carry out daily vehicle inspections as directed. To ensure your vehicle is maintained to an acceptable standard of cleanliness and that impress stock items are stored safely to minimise risk of accidental damage or injury. Carry out property survey/inspections and assess required works ensuring accuracy and use of correct SOR codes and materials required. Contact Compliance Supervisor/Works Planner if job allocated is greater than initially envisaged or requires additional resources. Any other duties commensurate with your post.
