Our client has a Finance Director (Southeast Asia) role. A rare opportunity for a high-potential finance leader to step into a Finance Director role with international scope and a clear pathway to broader regional or global responsibility. The role will begin with an initial UK-based period of approximately 6 months, followed by relocation to Southeast Asia, where you will lead finance for a major manufacturing operation.

The Role

  • Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will lead all financial activity for the site, acting as a trusted partner to the Managing Director and leadership team.
  • You’ll drive performance, strengthen governance, and deliver commercial insight across a complex manufacturing environment, while leading and developing a high-performing finance team.

Key Focus

  • Full ownership of site finance, reporting, controls, and compliance
  • Strategic business partnering with senior operational leaders
  • Budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX, and performance delivery
  • Driving cost, margin, cash, and working-capital improvements
  • Leading finance transformation, simplification, and efficiency
  • Coaching and developing a strong local finance function

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong technical and commercial finance background
  • Trained in a top-tier audit or advisory firm (manufacturing preferred)
  • Confident leader with gravitas, influence, and analytical strength
  • Ambitious, mobile, and motivated by international progression

Location & Mobility

  • Midlands based initially (~6 months)
  • Long-term relocation to Southeast Asia required
