About the role

Triumph Research Intelligence is a SaaS business on a mission to make Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM) simple for all clinical trials. Our platform, OPRA, leads to safer patients and happier clinical trials teams – with the end goal being higher quality trials, better drugs getting to market quicker, and ultimately, more lives saved. We’re looking for a talented Product Owner who’s passionate about building products that truly matter.

As our Product Owner, you will be the driving force behind turning high‑level product strategy into clear, actionable development work. You’ll collaborate closely with our CTPO, development teams, and stakeholders across the business to ensure every feature is user‑centric, high‑quality, and compliant with clinical industry standards. You’ll take ownership of the product backlog, bring requirements to life through well‑defined user stories, and champion the product vision throughout our Agile development cycles.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Product Delivery
    • Translate product vision and roadmap items into clear Epics, Features, and User Stories with full acceptance criteria.
    • Ensure development teams fully understand the “why” behind every requirement and deliver high‑quality, meaningful product increments.
    • Review completed work to ensure it meets acceptance criteria, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive Agile Excellence
    • Support backlog prioritisation and ensure that all items are well‑defined, estimated, and ready for development.
    • Communicate product requirements with clarity and confidence to developers, testers, and internal/external stakeholders.
    • Continuously refine and update the backlog based on evolving business or customer needs.
  • Champion User Experience
    • Partner with UX/UI teams to review design concepts and break them down into actionable work.
    • Demonstrate new features to internal teams, customers, and stakeholders to build understanding, alignment, and excitement.
  • Support Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Head of Development to provide timelines and effort estimates.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer‑facing teams to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.
    • Contribute to product documentation, including release notes, user manuals, process flows, and known‑issue logs.

Benefits & compensation

  • Salary: ÂŁ65000 - ÂŁ70000 Depending on Experience
  • Flexible, remote‑first working.
  • Generous holiday as standard: 27 days holiday, with a company shutdown between Christmas and New Year.
  • Extra holiday on top: For every full year you are with TRI, you will earn an extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of 30 days.
  • Carefully considered, market‑leading salaries with annual reviews.
  • Enhanced pension offer after probation period.
  • Health and wellbeing support with a health cash plan.
  • Life cover at four times your salary from day one.
  • In‑person meetings and socials, including company conferences and regular team meet‑ups.
  • Training and development opportunities.
  • Celebrating personal milestones and achievements.

Your skills & qualifications

  • Strong experience working as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Excellent understanding of Epics, Features, and User Story development.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or Confluence.
  • Background in product planning, user research, and roadmap development.
  • Experience in exploratory testing or supporting testing workflows (advantageous).
  • Clinical industry experience, including knowledge of clinical trial processes, ICH E6 (GCP), ICH Q9 (Quality Management), and 21 CFR Part 11.

Skills

  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A detail‑oriented mindset with a passion for quality.
