We are currently seeking a Technical Administrator to join our busy design team within the Design department. An essential member of the team, your core role will be to support Design Engineers with engineering drawing releases whilst ensuring conformance with procedures and best practice. Additionally, you will also support Design Engineers with a wide variety of other technical and general administrative tasks. There is great potential to develop in the role and learn new skills. Technical Administrator - Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Drawing release administration.
  • Administration associated with electronic Bill of Materials documentation.
  • Creating Design Change notes on behalf of Design Engineers.
  • Raising and Progressing internal & external parts procurement.
  • Organisation of parts shipments and paperwork.
  • Team administration including entering information onto a variety of databases, spend monitors, travel maintenance.
  • Team budgeting monitoring & variance reporting.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by your Manager.

Technical Administrator - essential criteria:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Packages including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Previous experience of working within an automotive / manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel functionality.
  • Ability to work with databases such as Microsoft Access.
  • Experience of error checking.
  • Self-motivated and resilient.

Hours of Work:

Flexible working – contract hours are 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am – 1.00pm on a Friday, however there is the opportunity to take advantage of flexible hours and start between 7.00am – 9.00am Monday to Friday and finish between 4.00pm – 6.00pm Monday to Thursday (12.00pm – 2.00pm on a Friday).
