We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Assistant Coordinator. You will support the delivery of sustainability and zero waste commitments across stores, depots, and offices. This role involves working closely with suppliers, colleagues, and charity partners to ensure waste and recycling activities run smoothly. The successful candidate will help drive compliance, support daily operations, and contribute to reducing waste across the business.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in sustainability, waste management, recycling, or a related field (Desirable)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the waste and recycling inbox and respond to queries from stores, depots, and suppliers.
  • Support stores and depots with waste, recycling, and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate services, signage, and guidance for new store openings.
  • Arrange charity collections for surplus products from office locations.
  • Work with waste partners and charities to ensure timely clearance of fly-tipping and other waste issues.
