The role:
Our client is seeking an organised and proactive Workforce Support Officer to join a local government team on a short-term basis. Based in Castleford, you’ll provide vital administrative and HR support, focusing mainly on managing sickness absence reporting and workforce data. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone with strong admin skills and a keen interest in HR processes.

You’ll play a key part in supporting operational teams by managing absence cases, preparing reports, coordinating occupational health referrals, and ensuring procedures are followed accurately and sensitively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day support with sickness absence processes
• Coordinate occupational health referrals and documentation
• Maintain accurate workforce and sickness data
• Prepare reports and assist with HR-related meetings
• Liaise with internal teams and support managers with admin tasks
