Triumph Consultants are looking for a Business Change Accountant to be a driver for business change throughout the Council, ensuring that operational efficiencies are achieved within the legal and statutory frameworks. Contract is for 5 months in Woolwich, SE18 6HQ
Business Change Accountant
Pay Rate: £25.07 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
Presume Office based
Key requirements
- Candidate must be CCAB qualified and / or relevant experience including continuing professional development
- Previous experience of financial management and strategy
- Experience of dealing with various stakeholders at all levels
- Previous experience of working within a local council
- Experience of supporting Business Change
- Ideally previous Statutory Section 151 experience
- Able to find positive solutions, with others, to challenging issues
- Resilient, hardworking, self-motivated, forward thinking, positive and action orientated.
Key responsibilities
- Ensuring the Accountancy Function is effectively integrated within the Directorate/Council, being a driver for business change throughout the Council
- Ensuring that operational efficiencies are achieved within the legal and statutory frameworks
- Promoting and championing the values set out in the Service’s Business Plan
- Ensuring that the service is an integral part in delivering the section 151 requirements within the Council thus, meeting statutory obligations
- Responsible for areas of work within one of the following; Children’s and Adults Services Finance, Finances relating to the Corporate, Regulatory and Housing Services, Investment and Partnering services, Stewardship functions within Finance
