Triumph Consultants are looking for an experienced Housing Officer with a background in a local authority or Registered Social Landlord (RSL) and a good knowledge of the Housing Act for their client. Contract is for 2 months in Stoke on Trent, ST2 0EU
Pay Rate: £18.04 per hour PAYE
Hybrid role: requiring at least 50% of your time on visits and in the office.
Key requirements
- Experience in social housing within a local authority or RSL.
- Good knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy conditions and housing management.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with experience advising residents.
- Ability to manage workloads and handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Good IT skills and a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
Key responsibilities
- Manage tenancies and estates, including routine visits and tenancy issues.
- Investigate anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches, taking appropriate action.
- Recover rent arrears and support residents with income and welfare advice.
- Provide advice and support to tenants, including vulnerable residents, and make referrals where needed.
- Prepare reports and legal documents and attend court or tenancy hearings when required.
