Triumph Consultants are looking for an Accountant to support the Finance and Accounting Service, providing financial monitoring, planning and advice to service budget managers. Contract is for 14 months in Redcar TS10 1RT.
Accountant
Pay Rate: £22.20 per hour PAYE
Location: Redcar TS10 1RT
Hybrid – 2/3 days per week on site
Key requirements:
- Recognised accounting qualification, such as AAT, or equivalent proven experience.
- Experience providing financial advice and support to budget managers.
- Detailed knowledge of financial systems and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting guidance and Local Authority financial legislation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage complex issues and work under pressure.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Directorate Accountant with a full range of accountancy duties.
- Provide monthly and quarterly financial analysis, monitoring and reporting.
- Produce revenue, capital and management reports to support effective budgetary control.
- Support budget managers with financial planning, monitoring and relevant training.
- Assist with final accounts, business cases, financial controls and other Finance Service requirements.

Anticipated Length of Assignment:Unless otherwise stated (we do carry the occasional permanent vacancy) all of our roles are technically temporary, though opening assignments can be and often are, extended by clients on a longer term basis and can sometimes become permanent.
