Planning Officer
Pay Rate: £29.77 per hour PAYE
Location: Hampshire, Portsmouth PO1 2AL
Contract is for 6 months in Hampshire, Portsmouth PO1 2AL.
Anticipated Length of Assignment: Unless otherwise stated (we do carry the occasional permanent vacancy) all of our roles are technically temporary, though opening assignments can be and often are, extended by clients on a longer term basis and can sometimes become permanent.

Key Requirements
- Experience dealing with planning applications and development proposals.
- Knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies and procedures.
- Ability to assess applications and make sound planning recommendations.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and process a wide range of planning applications from submission to decision.
- Prepare planning reports, recommendations and decisions in line with policies and legislation.
- Provide planning advice to applicants, agents, residents and other stakeholders.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to resolve planning issues.
- Attend meetings, site visits and committees as required.
