Triumph Consultants are looking for a Revenues Officer to support the day-to-day operation of the short description. Contract is for 4 months in Coventry CV1 5RR.

Revenues Officer

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour PAYE plus commission

Location: Coventry CV1 5RR

Office-based

Candidates are to undertake a Basic DBS if successful after interview stage

Key requirements:

Previous experience working within a revenue’s environment, ideally local authority.

Strong knowledge of relevant revenues legislation, statutory requirements and council procedures.

Confident interpreting legislation, investigating cases and resolving complex enquiries.

Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, electronic document management and workflow systems.

Strong communication, organisation and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

Manage revenue accounts, including liability, recovery and collection of debts.

Deal with general and complex customer enquiries, correspondence, disputes and appeals.

Manage summons and recovery action, liaising with collection agents and identifying vulnerable or hardship cases.

Maintain accurate records and apply current legislation, policies and operational procedures.

Work with internal teams and external agencies, producing financial and statistical information when required.
