Triumph Consultants are looking for an experienced Principal Planning Strategy Officer for their client to lead planning policy projects and help shape planning strategy. Contract is for 12 months in Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 4UB.
Pay Rate: £30.06 per hour PAYE
Location: Gloucester, GL5 4UB
Key requirements
- Degree in Town Planning or a related subject, or equivalent professional experience.
- RTPI membership or working towards membership.
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation and the Local Plan process.
- Experience of supervising or managing staff and working with a wide range of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead planning strategy projects, including surveys, consultations, evidence gathering and policy development.
- Maintain a robust evidence base to support planning policies and strategies.
- Prepare and present reports and evidence tomeetings, planning examinations, inquiries, appeals and public meetings.
- Provide expert planning policy advice on planning applications and pre-applications.
- Work with internal teams, Members, Parish/Town Councils and external organisations on planning policy matters.
