We are currently recruiting for Endpoint Support Engineers (Band 5) to join a Healthcare Digital Services team, providing second-line technical support across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Location: Norwich, Coverage: Norfolk & Suffolk, Hours: Mondayโ€“Friday, 37.5 hours per week, Start: ASAP, Contract: 3 months, Role: Endpoint Support Engineer, Band: 5

Important Requirement

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle, as the role involves travelling between Trust site

The Role

You will provide second-line IT support to clinical and corporate users, resolving technical incidents and supporting the maintenance, deployment and improvement of IT hardware and software.

Key responsibilities include

  • Providing second-line technical support remotely and on-site.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software incidents.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining desktops, laptops, peripherals and telephones.
  • Supporting Windows 11, Microsoft 365 and Citrix environments.
  • Managing Active Directory users, computers and security groups.
  • Using remote support tools to investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Managing IT incidents and requests through the Service Desk system.
  • Supporting hardware refreshes, equipment rollouts, moves and changes.
  • Maintaining endpoint asset records and supporting antivirus/security systems.
  • Liaising with third-party suppliers when required.
  • Escalating incidents appropriately and working within agreed SLAs.
  • Providing excellent customer service to clinical and corporate users.

The successful candidate will have

  • Experience providing second-line desktop/endpoint support.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Windows 11.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Citrix.
  • Knowledge of endpoint hardware, software and peripherals.
  • Experience working within a customer-focused IT environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Microsoft certification, ITIL Foundation or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • A proactive, professional and calm approach to technical support.
  • Heathcare/public-sector IT experience and knowledge of ITIL environments would be advantageous.
