We are seeking a highly capable Lead Commercial Manager to take a key role within a commercial team. The successful candidate will lead or support all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, ensuring the effective delivery of procurement objectives in a complex and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis and supplier engagement activities.
- Prepare and manage procurement documentation in line with regulatory and governance requirements.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure best value.
- Balance team-wide commercial demands and support successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with legal and procurement frameworks, including OJEU procedures such as Competitive Dialogue.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in commercial and procurement functions, particularly within IT procurement.
- Strong understanding of public procurement legislation and procedures.
- Skilled in contract drafting, supplier negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience delivering full end-to-end procurements, including working with suppliers outside of frameworks.
- Familiarity with the Jaggaer e-procurement tool, or the ability to learn new systems quickly (desirable).
