Lead Commercial Manager – IT Procurement

We are seeking a highly capable Lead Commercial Manager to take a key role within a commercial team. The successful candidate will lead or support all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, ensuring the effective delivery of procurement objectives in a complex and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis and supplier engagement activities.
  • Prepare and manage procurement documentation in line with regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure best value.
  • Balance team-wide commercial demands and support successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and procurement frameworks, including OJEU procedures such as Competitive Dialogue.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in commercial and procurement functions, particularly within IT procurement.
  • Strong understanding of public procurement legislation and procedures.
  • Skilled in contract drafting, supplier negotiation, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience delivering full end-to-end procurements, including working with suppliers outside of frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the Jaggaer e-procurement tool, or the ability to learn new systems quickly (desirable).
