Triumph Consultants are looking for an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer for their client to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused housing management service to tenants and leaseholders. You will manage tenancy issues, support customers and help maintain safe, well-managed neighbourhoods. Contract is for 3 months in Kettering, NN15 7QX.

Neighbourhood Housing Officer

Pay Rate: £17.55 per hour PAYE

Location: Kettering NN15 7QX

Basic DBS required

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar housing role within a local authority or registered provider.
• CIH Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Good knowledge of housing legislation, regulation and possession procedures.
• Excellent communication, interviewing and negotiation skills, including working with customers with complex needs or challenging behaviour.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage tenancies and leaseholds, including tenancy changes, inspections, tenancy conditions and customer enquiries.
• Manage rent arrears and income recovery, including repayment plans, court action and supporting customers with benefits.
• Deal with ASB and unacceptable behaviour, taking appropriate action and making referrals for additional support.
• Manage estates and empty properties, including estate inspections, property viewings, sign‑ups and reletting.
• Work with tenants, leaseholders and partner services to resolve issues, improve customer satisfaction and support safe, successful communities.
