Key aspects of the role include:
- Managing audit liaison activity, preparing reconciliations and audit evidence packs
- Supporting statutory accounts preparation and ensuring monthly reconciliations are accurate
- Reviewing and analysing financial data to provide insight to Finance Leadership and stakeholders
- Providing financial accounting and tax guidance across the organisation
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS and FReM reporting standards
- Supporting VAT returns, governance processes, and implementation of new accounting rules
Essential experience:
- CCAB/CIMA qualified or working towards qualification
- Strong understanding of financial accounting and statutory reporting
- Knowledge of IFRS and FReM
- Good Excel capability
- Ability to manage tight, non-negotiable deadlines
- Experience within government accounting, Managing Public Money, or Oracle Financial Cloud would be advantageous.
