Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle ERP Procurement Configuration and Implementation Specialist to support the configuration, deployment, and aftercare of Oracle ERP procurement modules. This role sits within the Commercial Operations function, responsible for both the day-to-day running and optimisation of current systems, as well as supporting a major ERP transformation programme. The procurement scope includes Sourcing, Purchasing, Contracts, Supplier Management, eCatalogues, and Reporting.
The ERP implementation has been underway for over two years and is now entering a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase following solution design sign-off. The successful candidate will play a key role in maturing the Oracle ERP implementation and supporting business readiness, adoption, and change.
You will work closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the ERP solution meets business requirements and enhances procurement processes in line with internal policies and external legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Procurement Operations Lead to support the configuration and implementation of Oracle ERP procurement modules, ensuring alignment with business processes and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Technology, Sourcing, and Supplier Management to gather, understand, and implement system requirements.
- Support the development of procurement workflows, approval hierarchies, and reporting solutions.
- Develop and support the execution of testing plans, including UAT, to ensure system functionality and performance meet business needs.
- Support the development and delivery of stakeholder communications and training.
- Document, track, and manage system issues, working closely with the Oracle implementation partner to support resolution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configuration guides, process designs, workflows, and user manuals.
- Coordinate with programme subject-matter experts across other ERP modules to manage dependencies and resolve cross-module issues.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support successful implementation and change adoption.
- Act as the Procurement Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a small delivery team.
- Support data migration activities, including supplier, contract, and requisition data.
- Review and define training requirements and support delivery.
- Support supplier engagement and communications.
- Design and refine procurement processes and workflows.
- Execute and support UAT testing.
- Provide guidance on policy, process, and change management impacts.
- Support internal stakeholders through change and transition.
- Develop training materials and guidance.
- Deliver training sessions to end users.
- Proven experience configuring and implementing an ERP procurement system.
- Experience working within a procurement environment (public and/or private sector).
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practice, including P2P.
- Experience with Oracle ERP (preferred); SAP experience also considered.
- Awareness of eTendering portal implementations.
- Experience supporting data migration (supplier, contract, requisition data).
- Familiarity with change management methodologies and deployments.
- Experience developing communications and end-user ERP training.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior and external stakeholders.
- Clear and effective communication skills, able to present confidently at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Procurement experience and strong understanding of procurement operations.
- ERP implementation exposure, ideally within Oracle ERP procurement modules.
- Experience supporting external stakeholder engagement and change management.
