Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Capital Project Manager to join their Children’s Social Care Transformation team. The Role:
As a Capital Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-profile capital programmes such as the Children’s Homes Capital Programme and Group Homes for Care Leavers. You\’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of the residential care infrastructure by setting up effective governance, building robust project plans, and ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end delivery of strategic capital projects aligned with CFLL’s transformation objectives.
Establish and maintain governance frameworks, programme boards, and risk logs.
Work in partnership with Programme Managers and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Monitor and report on project progress, managing risks and driving continuous improvement.
Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to secure support and alignment.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience leading transformation or capital delivery projects in a public sector or complex organisational setting.
Strong knowledge of project/change management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
Demonstrable experience in setting up core project systems and leading on governance structures.
A relevant project management qualification (Prince2, APM, MSP) or equivalent experience.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to ‘hit the ground running’.
