Triumph Consultants are looking for an Illegal Trade Technical Officer to support their client's Trading Standards team by investigating illegal trade and consumer protection issues. You will provide technical support, help with enforcement work and work with businesses and other agencies. Contract is for 5-6 months in Bolton BL3 5DT.

Pay Rate: £19.19 per hour PAYE

Key Requirements
- Experience in Trading Standards, Consumer Protection or a similar regulatory role.
- Good knowledge of Trading Standards legislation and enforcement procedures.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Able to investigate complaints and gather evidence.
- Willing to undertake relevant training and develop specialist knowledge.
- Enhanced DBS required.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate complaints, intelligence and requests relating to illegal trading.
- Support enforcement action, including preparing evidence and legal documents.
- Carry out work relating to tobacco, vapes and the disposable vape ban.
- Work with businesses, other agencies and Trading Standards colleagues.
- Provide technical advice and support to officers, businesses and the public.

Anticipated Length of Assignment:Unless otherwise stated (we do carry the occasional permanent vacancy) all of our roles are technically temporary, though opening assignments can be and often are, extended by clients on a longer term basis and can sometimes become permanent.
