What\’s involved with this role:
Once training is completed, the role will follow a shift pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off and 4 late shifts on, 4 days off, including on-call duties.
Contract Type:
The role: We are recruiting for an Accommodation Support Officer to join a busy Adult Services team. This is a full-time temporary role, supporting vulnerable customers in temporary accommodation, such as hotels, B&Bs, and dispersed placements. The post holder will assist with placements, offer support to clients, and liaise with external agencies to ensure the delivery of safe and appropriate housing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and arrange suitable emergency and temporary accommodation
- Provide support services to vulnerable clients, including safeguarding concerns
- Liaise with internal teams and partner agencies to coordinate accommodation solutions
- Handle cash, maintain records, and offer advice on benefits, budgeting, and housing
- Manage admissions, discharges, and tenancy issues, including anti-social behaviour
- Support clients in developing life skills and maintaining independence
